Atlantic Saunas for Commercial Use

Commercial Use

Our saunas are primarily designed for residential settings. However, they may be suitable for light commercial use, provided they are closely monitored and well maintained.

For commercial applications, we recommend upgrading seating, supports, and benches to accommodate higher usage. Additionally, while our saunas feature solid wooden panels, modifying these with suitable materials can facilitate easier cleaning. Commercial saunas typically incorporate tiled flooring to manage water accumulation effectively.

Wood Considerations

  • Hemlock Wood – This light-colored wood is prone to showing sweat stains and requires regular cleaning. Applying sauna-safe paraffin oil can provide an additional layer of protection.

Maintenance & Safety

  • Saunas should always be monitored and never left unattended for extended periods.
  • Routine cleaning and safety checks are essential to maintain hygiene and longevity.

Water Usage for the Stove

  • In commercial settings, excessive water application on the stones can damage the stove. To prevent this, provide clients with a spray bottle rather than allowing them to pour large amounts of water.
  • Water should only be added when the stones are sufficiently hot to ensure complete evaporation, preventing excess moisture buildup.

Hygiene Recommendations

  • It is advisable for users to sit on a towel while in the sauna to help maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
